| Why do I do what I do? I am impatient, practical, cleaver, lazy, yet hardworking Medium: Clay, high fire , results are always a mystery What do you mean I can't do this? Challenge, a 3D Technicolor imagination, and beauty drives me to be better. Original non conforming thoughts, diverse aesthetic, nuance of colour, order, simplicity, elegance and laughter are the processes on the road to the end result. I need to develop patience, and kindness for myself when the kiln is opened and hoping that Mercury is no longer in retrograde. Who knew that taking that accidental workshop would open this door of creativity. Dinner ware classic, contemporary and showpiece allow me thrive and impress my individual stamp. Gone are the Days of the Renaissance woman. Now my focus is on achieving the right coloured glaze, the right shape of vessel and combining the two into a timeless, unique and elegant piece of art I step into my light filled studio and do what I love to do. I am thankful each day.” |
