BLACK & WHITE THE ANNIVERSARY EVENT
To celebrate our 3rd birthday of Arts on Main Gallery, we are having a birthday party on May 15th, reception
time: 2-4pm, and would like you to come! Bring your friends too!

PAINT the COUNTY
A joint venture planned by Arts on Main Gallery, Black Prince Winery and Prince Edward County Arts Council
will result in our first “Paint the County” outdoor painting event, which is to be held on Saturday July 31st
from 10:00 am till 4:00 pm in and around Picton. There will be 20 and 25 participating artists. A silent auction
of the work will take place at Black Prince Winery during the course of Saturday July 31st and Sunday August
1st from 10:00 am till 4:00 pm.

AOMG ARTIST HAPPENINGS
Bloomfield's bid to become the Art in Public Places epicenter of the County will be launched in May with
numerous installations of sculptural work by various artists throughout the village. A walking tour guide with
descriptions and locations of the public art will be available in May to allow visitors to find and admire the
works. All the art will be for sale. Award winning AOMG member artist-blacksmith Bruce Milan will be
contributing three sculptures to be placed at residences on Main St., Mill Street, and in front of Island Forge
Gallery at 332 Main Street Bloomfield where Milan resides and works. Bruce is also in the planning stage of
a Public Art Memorial, along with Bloomfield potter Peta Hall, for placement early this summer in the village
of Wellington. In the Wellington sculptures, the two hope to combine forged steel and roasted clay in a
stunning combination of eternal whimsy.

More Happenings
May 7-24th, "ART OF FLIGHT" show and sale of original art in support of Prince Edward Point Bird
Observatory. In the Art Cellar of Black Prince Winery, Picton -a number of AOMG artists are participating -
Judy Kent, Mia Lane, Brandy Gale, Steven Draper, Vanessa Pandos, Bruce Milan, Rick Matthews, Dayna Law
and Amelie Koning De Bourbon.

June 4th- 30th "OPPOSITES ATTRACT" A first time dual art exhibit featuring all new works by Judy Plomer ,
Oils and Pastels, and Terry Williams, hand carved Folk Art at the Sidestreet Gallery in Wellington. Opening
reception Friday June 4 from 5 to 8 pm.

Steven Draper Moves Office
Following a successful "Through The Lens" exhibition in Belleville, AoMG chair and Commercial Fine Art
Photographer Steven Draper is relocating his hi tech digital darkroom to The Headlands, a dedicated studio
and creative media facility in down town Picton, almost next door to the Gallery. Steven's first task will be to
complete solo show, "Escape To The Skies" photography show presenting a variety of images, many created
using his aerial camera system. -mid June until late August, location TBA shortly.

Arts on Main Gallery is a non-profit artist run gallery founded in 2007 by Prince Edward County visual artists
to provide exhibition space for its members. The gallery is located at 223 Main Street in Picton, Ontario
across from the Regent Theatre. Admission is always free and although all the work is for sale, everyone is
welcome to come in and enjoy the art... BECAUSE ART MATTERS.
