AOMG Welcomes Brandy Gale-Painter
Brandy says, "It is very exciting to begin the new decade with Arts on Main!
My artistic objective currently involves painting alla prima (wet on
wet) in a variety of mediums and sizes in an attempt to capture the essence of a location, on the spot. This plein air approach is a
familiar tradition among Canadian painters of the past. Following in their footsteps while incorporating mark-making, patterns, symbols and expressive colour
assists my pursuit of a direct, demonstrative, unreserved body of work."

Brandy's new Single Malt Cove Studio is at 1288 County Road 3, Rednersville, across from the old County Store will be open this coming Spring. ph:613-771-

AOMG Welcomes Artist John Gregg
"My work is equally balanced between portraiture and landscape, and sometimes a combination of both. It falls broadly between Expressionism and
Impressionism. Painters that have influenced my work have been, Kokoschka Degas, and the Impressionist and Post Impressionist schools, also modern
British schools of painting indicative in the works of Sutherland Augstus John, Spencer, Freud and others of that period.
I work mainly from sketches, water colour notes and photographs for my landscapes and model sketches for portraiture. These help me to capture the
atmosphere and relate a mood inspired by emotion. I perceive a painting as a crystallization of time."
John Gregg is a graduate of the Royal West of England College of Art. He emigrated to Canada in 1966 where he worked as an Art Director, then he operated
his own company from 1970-1999 garnering National and International Design awards.
Throughout his professional career, John Gregg has pursued his love of fine art, drawing and painting. This has resulted in joint exhibitions of his work at
the Bristol Museum, Frost and Reed and Hazelton Lanes Galleries with one man shows at the University of Toronto and the Post Office Gallery, Oakville. His
work is represented in both private and corporate collections.
John Gregg now devotes his time to his art working, primarily in oils, water colour, gouache and monoprint. He moved to Prince Edward County in 2006,
renovating his home on Ridge Road in Picton to accommodate his studio and gallery viewing area.
