Arts on Main Membership Application Form
BECAUSE ART MATTERS
Arts on Main Gallery is a premier cooperative art gallery representing artists who live in Prince Edward County. As
a cooperative, artist members accept the following terms and responsibilities to ensure the continued success of
the gallery:
Financial Commitment
• Initiation fee of $100 due upon acceptance
• Annual Membership Fee of $600 payable in quarterly instalments of $150
Commission on Art Work
• Sale of art work is subject to a commission of 20%.
Member Duties – all members are expected to:
• Provide 2-3 pieces of new work every 3 months.
• Provide images of work for use in gallery publicity.
• Staff the gallery on specified days, generally 1 or 2 shifts monthly, including some weekends.
• Share in the duties of running the gallery, including serving as a Director, or on the Executive Committee
(voted positions for a 2 year commitment), or as a member of a Sub-Committee.
• Attend the openings of new shows, four annually.
• Attend quarterly General Meetings of the Co-operative as well as the Annual General meeting.

The gallery strives to have a balance of 2D and 3D artists. Please describe the art you propose to exhibit at Arts
on Main with a description of the medium and scope of the work including size, subject matter, and price range:
Please include the following with your application:
• 4 or 5 digital images of recent work including title, size, medium, and price. Please include
images of all media you propose to submit for exhibition.
• An Artist Profile/Resume which includes art-related education and training, exhibitions,
awards, reviews, arts association memberships, other venues which exhibit your work.
Detail any gallery representation, exhibitions, shows or events within the past 3 years.
• A brief Artist Statement as to:
1) Your artistic goals in the short and long term.
2) Why you wish to join Arts on Main Gallery. Please include a statement as to how
you can be a supportive team member and contribute to the success of the gallery.
